Financing new mobility needs and trends – preparing the infrastructure of the future: what are the solutions

Road networks play the leading role in the European mobility over 72% of passengers move by car and 60% of freight is moved by trucks. Therefore, reliability and the quality of the road transport on the main European axis and beyond, is crucial for the European economy and for all European citizens. In a lack of public budget, with the challenges expressed by a strong EU transport policy guidelines and orientations: robust and well maintained road infrastructure, multimodal offers, new mobility trends (car sharing, carpooling, autonomous vehicles) de carbonization of transportation, concession contracts remain powerful tool to policy makers to handle them. What solutions, what propositions. Financial experts, policymakers, decision makers from the toll operator companies, will bring their views, experiences on the topics and solutions that can be applied.
